About us

CIMA is a Peruvian non-profit organization committed to conserving, studying and managing protected areas.

CIMA is the first non-profit organization to have signed an agreement with the National Authority for Protected Areas in Peru (SERNANP) for the daily management of a National Park. 

We achieve conservation through a participative approach, applying “adaptive management” practices and the “ecosystem approach”. We do this in collaboration with our local, national and international partners.
